I have 16" wheels with 215/45/16 tyres fitted at present and as the standard tye for my vehicle (MY99 uk turbo) is 205/50/16 will my spare / get home fit or will potential diff. damage occur ? in which case surely it would be better to ditch the spare and carry punture foam of some description.

the rolling diamater is about the same, as long as you take it easy you should be OK

what you have is better than a space saver.

why not get a 215/45 tyre to go on the spare wheel ?

Barge
This is an option but I have 5-6mm left on the existing set and I think I will revert back to 205/50/16s for the next set.
