Recently fitted 4 pots on my MY96 (17") with Mintex 1748 pads and grooved discs.

Have not yet bedded them in but noticed a strong smell after a few harder (but not crazy) stops.

Anyone heard of these pads? (The real stuff difficult to get in Thailand)

The smell must mean something is burning, the pads? or maybe some grease on the disc surface after the mechanic's dirty hands were all over it?
