Min tread on tyre?

Question

Anyone know the min legal tread for a tyre, plus does it have to be 100% across tyre or 75% e.t.c.

(Just found passenger side front worn on outside but rest ha splenty of tread, as does drivers side. Guess I need a visit to Quick fit or somewhere tomorrow(today..time for bed)

Minimum tyre tead depth is 1.6mm (it's in your highway code book !), there are markings on your tyre inbetween the tread that gives you a visual note.

1.6mm is across 3/4 of the tread width plus there must be visible tread across the remainder.
