Question

I've read some threads on here about bedding-in procedures for new pads. If this is strictly necessary why is it not part of the running-in procedure for the car when it's new? I've had two scoobs from new and was never advised to do anything specific for the brakes.

Just curious cos I'm getting some uprated pads in a few days and not sure what to do...

with std type pads then its just basically take it easy for a couple of miles (100 or so) and they'll be fine........
with aftermarket / performance pads then they normally have a "bedding" procedure which should be adhered to if you want the best out of your pads and (particuarly for road cars) decent life out of them and your discs!
alyn - as performance
