I bought a standard UK spec Impreza Turbo 1996N a few months ago and the previous owner had swapped the standard 15inch alloys for a set of 16inch gold alloys fitted with 205/50/16 tyres. Is there any implication for the speedo and/or odometer of this change?

No, thats the correct profile for 15 to 16 swap...

My MY96 UK had exactly same wheels...
