Knock from Front Right - out of ideas, help!
#1
Fitted some Pagid Black's at Bedford and I now get a tap tap noise from front right area of car. It was fine with the previous standard pads... You can almost feel it on the brake pedal.
I've taken the wheel off and no signs of marks, even on the inner wheel weights. Removed pads and all seems OK. Disk is brand new and hardly got an stick at Bedford due to the exhaust Everything seems tight, but it still tap taps, increasing with speed. IT STOPS WHEN YOU TOUCH THE BRAKE PEDAL which implies to me that the disk is not on properly? But it was never removed to put the new pads in (although it is loose with the wheel nuts not holding it tight to the hub. The disk is a floating type, but the left side is silent...
Any ideas guys? (I did get a set of Oz wheels at Bedford, but they clear the caliper, and it tap taps with the previous wheels back on too)
Advice very much appreciated.
