alright chaps, sorry for asking this as i guess a million others have already, im after 18s for a scooby, what offset and width can i go, also how much can it be lowered on these and is it likely 2 scrub a lot, cheers

Been looking into this myself, so far i've found out:
Depends on MY to what size you can put on but as a rule you'll going to need an offset of 50 or over, 53 i'm sure someone said was the prodrive offset on a 18"
I wanted 18" on MY UK99 but have been told along with a Sh*te ride, I'll have to get a wheel with the correct offset (which OZ 18" SuperL's dont have, 48)may have to change the suspension and may need the arches rolled. Suddenly my 17" or new 17" are looking good??

the rides ok,not really bumpy just a bit harder than normal

i have 18" x 8" wheels with 225x35x18 tyres and i think the offset is ET50 but i can check for you. i have 1.5deg negative camber all round with very hard suspension and the car is as low as it will go without rubbing the arches. on average, there is about 15mm daylight between the top of the tyre and the bottom of the wheel arch.

when the camber was set the inner side of the tyre rubbed on the coilover so i put some 3mm spacers behind the wheel (rear only). as you can guess its reached just about every limit. you need adjustable suspension to really get it right.

Paul very lightly on the back if cornering hard (roundabouts)
this is because the back is not set on hard as its 2 bumpy.
I have 225 tyres and really need to get 215 so it will not rub at
all.

I've got P1 18" Wheels on my MY99 STI-V which has got Leda B on there too, the ride is bumpier than when I was on 17"s, I only get rubbing at the front because my Ride Height is lower than on lowering springs.

I have 7.5x18 with 215/35 18 tyres on my 97 scooby, the offset is 48 and lowered with no rubbing on the back or the front at full lock.

18"s on Eibach springs MY01 - no problems with rubbing, although ride is firm - my choice as it improves the handling no end
