Can somebody explain the difference at the Scoobynet shop between the Pagid RS42-1 under Scoobysport, and the RS4.2 'blue' pads under the scoobynet title ? There is aboyt £30 difference but are they the same ?

Also if I save some money and replace my Pagid grooved discs (now warped) with Black Diamond ones, will I regret it and how different are they ?

Trigger no they are not the same, the RS42-1 has a slightly lower level of friction than the RS42 and also the max temperature is slightly lower.I favor the RS42 but you pay's your money and takes your choice. As for the disc's I would imagine that the Pagid is the better of the two.

rs4.2.1 is used as an O.E. material on high performance vehicles such as porshe, ferrari, etc. so has better "road manners" but is not quite as good as "blues" in hard use!!
check out our prices on scoobynet and give us a call think you'll find more "value for money" than certain other subaru specialists..

I have the RS 42-1's on my MY00 turbo, with the Pagid 8 groove discs and can vouch for just how good they are. I've done a trackday at Spa with them and suffered no fade all day, with reasonable pad wear. What I don't understand is the price difference though, the supplier I use has them listed at the same price, unlike many of the other specialists. I'd like to know why that is!!

When i fitted the blues in to my 2 pots i noticed tha pad and backing plate area was larger than the Mintex 1144's i took out. Are there more than one size of pad for the 2 pot sliders? or is it a case that pagid have made a backing plate that uses all the possible swept area?

P.s. i have only had them fitted a week but am well happy with them, although slightly noisy in use under heavy braking with ebc groved disks.

mike, is it the pricing of rs4.2.1 and rs4.2 you're querying??
these have (or should have) the same price!!
Pagid has the same pricing structure for these
