Tyre Tread Left
#1
Just had a service and they told me that my rubber has the following tread left:
F N/S 2mm
R N/S 4mm
F O/S 6mm
R O/S 5mm
Only done about 6000 on these PZero's, but did include a track day at Bruntingthorpe (hence the F N/S being down to 2mm)
Looking at this, would I be ok to replace just the F N/S, or do I really need to replace all together in this situation?
Any advice?
Thanks
Terry

I would advise anyone to change all their P Zeros, no matter how much tread was on 'em :-). But that's just me.
Just changed a set of P Zeros for a set of Toyos, and the difference is astonishing. I can accelerate while turning now without fear of death.
If you like the way the Zeros feel, I would at the very least change the two fronts together...... safer still to change 'em all at once.

Thanks Mate
No, I am not too impressed by the P-Zeros, but did not want to change them so close to xmas. Might run them steady until after the new year and then swap them all at once.

If you want to run the one with 2mm for the next couple of months through the winter, you put a very low value on your life!
In any case, it will be illegal at 1.6mm.....

Terry,
If you can't replace the 2mm one immediately, my advice is to move it to the back.........
It'll last longer than at the front and won't be quite so risky - just remember that it's crap as it's liable to let go in the wet when cornering hard......

I never corner hard in the wet!
I know you are all right, will change them all. What do you suggest Toyo's or F1's?
Could always keep the old rubber for track days.
