Size rims, offset etc for JDM STi-7 ?

Hi Guys,
Going to be buying new rims. Will get them over in the USA as it is closer. How do I know if the rims will fit my JDM Sti-7 Brembo 4 pots and 2 pot stock brakes. Are there sizes etc listed on teh rim that will tell me if they will fit ? Is that what 'offset' means ?

PS: I was looking into some of the OZ 17" rims. The superlaggas etc look nice in a gun metal finish

Welcome to choppy waters!
It's not only offset, but spoke *shape* that dictates what will fit an STi7 with the Brembos. Do a search back a few months, there are a couple of threads in this forum that will give you more info
IIRC, 17" Superleggeras do not fit but 18" do - but check this.
