I have just bought my first Impreza, its a 98' turbo 5 door.

I have noticed that on the front it is wearing Goodyear F1's and on the rear Bridgestone se02's (i think).

Does it matter that the front tyres are not the same as the rear?

Thanks

You can get away with it, but most people reckon it is dangerous.

The problem is that the grip character of the different tyres will be different. So there is the chance you will get either the front or the back breaking away suddenly.

I have run for the last 10,000 miles Toyo's on the front and Re011 Bridgestones on the rear

No problems
