P1 Brakes on a 93 WRX.

Yep straight swap.
I'd get a set of braided hoses and use a decent brake fluid. You will certainly notice the difference. The standard disks/pads are not very good so you may find after a while you are fading them. If thats the case then replace them with Group N disks and some harder pads and you should be OK.

I have a set of P1 (standard Subaru 4pots as far as I can tell!) on my 95WRX along with braided hoses. Apparently they went on no problem, no modifications needed, and they make a lot of a difference over the 2pots that come on the older cars.
I've got standard disks with Mintex1155 pads and I generally have to be doing a lot of hard stops to fade them! On track they don't stand a chance but road should be Ok and if you do fade them upgrade the disks and pads as suggested above!
