Porsche brakes??
I read here a few days ago, not sure if it was this section, that someone had Porsche GT brakes on their scoob.
Is this possible or viable? Should I consider it? How do I know if they would fit my classic shape? Also, what are they going to set me back?

Forget GT brakes!!
Seriously, my P1 has Prodrive/Alcons 330mm discs. I have tested my car from 100 - 0 against Brembo's and Porsche brakes on both a Scoob and a 911.
The Prodrive/Alcons beat all comers including the Porsche calipers. Seriously, they are top brakes and designed for your car, which bother even looking at porsche brakes. Admittedly not much was in it against the Porsche brakes on the Scoob but simply put 10 feet is 10 feet!
Run Ds2500 pads on the prodrive/alcons and be rest assured you have the best brakes sensible money can buy

The Porsche calipers are made by Brembo, these are extremely good brakes
so are the alcons but for some reason people seem not to like the alcons as well as Brembo/AP's (something to do with warped discs) but you could look at the scoobysport Brembo setup which is very good, it depends how much you have to spend really as when you get into this sort of bracket the discs/bells will be costing you around 500 quid to replace (but you should get 25-30k miles out of em with the normal scoob use, ie hard
)

Movit's GT3 kit is recommended by me
Even assuming the Alcons were better (lol!
), why would you buy a one piece bell/disk assembly....makes it very expensive once you need new disks.
I'm sure all big brake kits stop the car far better than standard and the Porsche kit is a pain to get wheels for - but it runs cooler than anything else I've seen (Prodrive Alcons included).
I've now done 5 track/airfield/slalom days plus 35-40k km's of hard road use, (standard organic) pads not even 50% worn...but then maybe I'm a pansy on the brakes?

Well i i think the Alcons aint much at all on my uk300. My AP4pots from hi-spec on my RB5 were 10 times better.
The alcons just don't seem to have the bite and you have a very limited pad choice.
I've bought some AP discs and am having some bell made to suit, i'm hoping this along with the DS2500 will prove me wrong about the calipers
