What would be involved with fitting the vented (18mm thick?) rear disks from MY99/00 cars on a MY97 instead of the 10mm thick standard disks. Are the callipers the same and the difference is made up by thinner pads with less material?

You need the calipers to go with them , then they are a direct fit , Cheers Ian

Thought as much, I'll stick with the solid ones for now and keep an eye open for calliper sets going on here, or get some from a breakers if the balance is upset when I put the 4pots on the front.
