Question

Seen as my car will be getting work done to fit a downpipe, etc soon I figure I might as well upgrade the brake hoses to braided ones and the fluid to dot 5 (or whatever it is).

Could someone tell me where I could purchase such items and how much I should expect to pay?

I got the braided hoses with spira wrap for the Impreza from Amber Performance (01585 572500) £45.00 plus delivery of £8.00. 5.1 fluid recommended.

Thumbs up

Direct from Goodridge for my P1 was around the £50 squid mark IIRC. Next day delivery and certainty of topnotch manufacturer.

Is that for front hoses or the 4 line set?
I've just gone and paid £88 with P&P from TSL. Have I been done??

Falkland do them too. Had a set on my sti but can't remember how much I paid (I got disks/pads/fluid/induction kit at the same time and it came to 450 odd).
Amazing difference to the braking power though (although I did it all at the same time, so don't know which components made the most difference)

Let me know what you get as I'll be going the same route soon.

TSL are pricey, dont know why, most there stuff is compared to there competitors...

A full set should be no more than £50...

Got a set of goodridge ones from jamie W as I've used him before and he seems reasonable and is quick to deliver. I'll hold off doing pads and disks till the originals are totalled

Cheers for the advice people
