Cool

Need to change my rubber folks - dont want to put SO3's on.
Thought about Toyo's. I would like a grippy tyre on and am not too concerned about wear. suggestions please.
Thanks
Geoff

Toyos are pretty good IMHO and I know a local owner with a 22B that runs them and shes happy with them.

Go for new F1's. I replaced my SO2's with these & have to say they have better grip in the wet & same in the dry, which was fantastic.
Never used SO3's personally, heard bad reports. I have always put the best on my motor, you definetly want the best if you have a 22B.

Toyo's or F1s, not much in it.

I've run F1s for 15k miles now and will need serious persuasion not to pick them next time...

Geoff I've got Toyo's on mine. Very good, got em from Scoobyworld. They have a banner ad on this site.

I had Toyos (on a Audi S3) and I thought they were excellent - better than my S-02s, especially in cold weather.

Car went back to the finance company yesterday - still had 4mm of tread after 17,000 miles.

I would certainly buy them again, or possibly try the F1s.

have had toyos 3 times through no choice of my own and dont like them.

found no problem with so3s but then didnt get much chance to try them.

personally woudl rather go with goodyears than with toyos.

Cheers Adam, found F1's on mytyres.com for around £105.00 per corner which is very pleasantly surprising. Think its Goodyear.

then i fitted S-02 and they were great!
but in the end i fitted S-03 and they are definitively the best!

I had two sets of S02 PPs before the F1s.

Whilst I don't think they have as much grip, they are a lot easier to feel the limits with. I can slide the Scoob on roundabouts now (hence knackered shoulders on the nearside front ), something I've never tried with the SO2s.

Going through the Evo Triangle on Saturday chasing a P1 was great. Loads of visability so position for the corner (wrong side of road maybe), turn it, feel a little bit of drift before dig in, grip and rocket off down the road again Heaven.

They last much longer than the SO2s as well.

I love em

Thumbs up

I would agree with you there ChrisB, I used to get some lovely power slides down near denby dale junction on my SO2's, but they didn't last long. F1's appear to give more grip & also appear to be lasting longer
have you got the new GS-D3's on yours then ?
I have the GS-D2's on 3 corners, had a blowout about 2 months ago & they put the newer one on.
