Unhappy

MY96 with 91k and original discs all round (ie worn and a bit rusty on the rears). When turning left at about 15-20mph I can hear a metallic rubbing noise which sounds to be coming from the drivers rear caliper/disc (doesn't happen all the time and has varying degrees of loudness - but you need to have the windows open to hear it). There is no discernable play with this wheel when the car is jacked up and the pads appear to have plenty of life in them. The back discs have a band of rust approx 5mm wide on the outer face of the disc. Has anyone any ideas?

thanks

Martin
