I've had my STi Type UK for about 2 weeks now - I bought it second hand @ about 1200 miles, it is now on 2000 miles. The only problem I have is that the brakes really judder under moderate braking - steering wheel vibrates in my hands.!
Could it be that the discs are warped or is it more likely that it needs an alignment check?
The car has not had any serious abuse. The previous owner was planning on keeping the car for 3 years so ran it in properly and since it had it's 1K service was driven mainly by the owners wife. I have done mainly motorway miles in it so no harsh braking.
Any help or thoughts appreciated.
Cheers,
Richard

I've had absolutely no problems in mine. If the discs are warped, and the car has only had light use, then I'd take it back to the dealer and get them to sort it out.
Chances are it's just a build up of deposits on the discs - have a look and see if you can see a "shadow" of the pad shape on the discs. If so, then good rub with some emery paper will probably help a lot (if not cure it).

Thanks John - I'll have a look. I'm very light on my brakes, my last car - a 94 WRX, never needd the discs changed in the 45k miles I had it, so these shouldn't be warped in 2k miles!
