Where I live the DO3´s haven´t arrived yet, so are the F1 DO2 worth getting? People on scoobynet have sayed that are pretty good overall.
Anyone who can give an opinion about noise specially after they have been used for more than 10000 kms (as noise buids up with wear when the noise problem exist)

Have you tried the TOYP's?

 

I've had the old F1's for about 7000 miles now and wished I hadn't bought them. I know other people like them, but for me personally I've found them pretty dreadful when compared to my previous PZero's. This is on a standard MY00, with the Prodrive geo settings. I'll not be buying them again, I'll be going back to PZero's. I've tried all sorts of different combinations of pressures in them as well, but the car's never seemed to have the 'bite' that it had with the Pirelli's, either wet or dry. In fact when the roads are damp, they've recently become just plain scary! And there's still a good 5mm of tread left. On track and airfields, they've also been hopeless.

I'm sure someone will be along to contradict me soon though!!

I love the F1's - grip in dry is superb, I think its a little off the S02 but not far and wet grip is phenomenal They are a bit soft - I think the newer ones are slightly harder but I've had them on since feb and been well happy with them, road noise is no worse than other tyres I've heard in mates cars. I know a fair few others with them too who love 'em

 

I knew it, total contradiction...... would put a smiley in here but dunno how!

Personal preferences on the roads you're using I suppose.

Chris me old mucker - just made a visit to Cheltenham on Sat for exactly the same reason - all I can say is WOW!!!!!

Had the bumpsteer and alignment done. Shame they didn't have the rear solid drop links in though Had the fronts done instead and will fit the rears myslef when they come in

Understeer is hardly apparant now and corners at silly speeds

just got a set of the new eagle f1's on 215/45-17 for a my01 wagon. I've been using so2's before and still have them on the trackday wheels.

so far, so good. the f1's don't heat up as fast and so you don't get that low pitched scrawly sound as you go sideyways round a corner. I did detect some tramlining when they were brand new but not 300 miles later. not sure what that was - maybe the V groove shape is too shallow. I think they are a bit harder but sliding is still predictable but a tad earlier than so2's, maybe they'll last more than 20 laps.

will take them out on the track for a few laps before changing to so2's next time out and see what happens.

I've got F1 GS-D2 on standard 16s.

Done about 14k miles on them now, seem to have plenty of tread left. Real mix of high speed motorway cruising (130+ in Spain for several hours), fast A-road hacking and a few laps of Kames sprint circuit.

Dry grip is fab, I prefer them to my previous SO2 PPs as they seem to slide a bit earlier but hence better to play with

Wet grip is good, although I have the typical Scooby problem of buckets of understeer on a damp roundabout. Trip to PowerStation needed I think.

I'd certainly have them again
