Goodyear don't make the F1 in 205/17/45!!!
#1
Just been checking on their web site as I need new tyres, they don't list the F1 in 205/17/45! Got a friend in the tyre trade to ring them direct and they confirmed. I've got the 17in P1 alloys on MY99, is this combination of tyre size odd or are Goodyear missing some trade here?
So what tyres to go for, Bridgestone, Toyo's etc or stick with the standard Pirelli's?
Cheers
Looks like Bridgestone don't do the S03 in this size either!!

Sorry, don't really know (I run 16s) but its generally accepted on this site that if you're running 17" either size will do. TOYO's have a good write up on here and they come in 215/40 only IIRC. I'm sure some more knowledgable person will answer

I got F1s on my 17" P1 wheels, seem no different in ride quality, just much better grip and SO much quieter on the motorway than the standard ones that were on before.

Wouldnt touch the following tyres in 215/40/17!
Avon ZZ1's
Any unknown brand, ie something like camac
Bridgestone so3's, not the best tyre out there
Would go for the following except these are like rocking horse ****
Bridgestone SO2 PP (just had my second set fitted..... ahhhhhhh )
New boys on the scene!
Goodyear F1's, did a good job on a recent test, came out top.

Thanks all, I think I'll go for the F1's, what about my spare, which is a P1 alloy but will still have a 45 profile on it, will this matter for the odd time I might have to use it?
