MY2000 front brake pads
#1
Where is a good place to get front brake pads? I'm not looking to upgrade unless there is an obvious benefit. Car is a 5dr and used on road only. After 22,000 miles the front pads are well worn according to my dealer. I just know he's going to charge me over the odds to replace them.
What is a reasonable price to pay including fitting?

Buy and fit them yourself (unless it'll void the warrenty) It's not difficult!!
If you want a cheap pad for road driving and you don't intend to push it hard, try EBC greens. They produce almost no dust so your wheels stay clean
Sorry don't know fitting prices as I always do it myself!!

When I had my front pads replaced at 22k service they charged me half an hours labour - something like 30 quid.
Do them yourself - its a doddle - and thats saying something comming from me - I was concerned as didnt have any manual but found some threads on changing the pads / discs - I ended up doing the lot in an hour and a half - most of that time was jacking the car up / down and undoing the caliper bolts.
Go for it.
