Question

How are you managing that?

Are you using air tools and cross-threading the nuts before using the wrench?

If you are using air tools it might be easier getting the nuts started by hand before using the gun - at least you know the threads are aligned rather than hoping the gun would do it.

Might be a no-brainer, but the studs and nuts do have the same threads on them, don't they?

It seems that you are overtightening the nuts and stripping the thread,it happened to me once but got a new stud under warranty, use a tourqe wrench.

Spin the nuts up by hand then use a torque wrench, I've had my wheels off about 10 times now in 6 months and touch wood they are fine, may be worth using a little copper slip on the stud as well before putting the nuts on.

What is the correct torque settings for a UK MY99.

Also i'm now running 17" OZ Chrono with different nuts (the ones supplied by OZ), will that use the same torque settings ?

Thanks, Graham
