Replacing standard brake pads ?

What are the best pads to fit as the standard pads seem to fade on long cross country journeys, any ideas ? Don't really want to have to replce the discs, so best i can get for reasonable money for the pads ?

Mintex 1155, Ferodo DS2500 or Pagid RS42.
I've got the Ferodo - only been on a few weeks but happy with them so far and not too bad on dust either. 150 quid from TSL delivered.
