We've got an MY98 which is due to have it's new Godspeed brake kit fitted tonight Now, being prepared etc. I did a bit of research into problems we may encounter and have realised we've been sent the wrong braided hoses: SSU0500-4P which I beleive is for the new shape WRX and not ZZEG0230-004 which I beleive is for the old one. Now - it's probably my fault for not realising before.
I've also noticed alot of people have had to file down about 1mm from the middle joint ot make them fit - is this because people are trying to fit the new shape kit to the old shape car? If it is, is this all that doesn't fit and will it cause problems if we try the same? Or will it just completely not fit?
I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't risk anything with the brakes and should send the kit back and get the correct one...Chris is of the opinion we'll "give it a go" as he beleives it's just the filing problem...
What'ca all reckon?

Hi Jen , If the kit we have sent you has the locator block that fits into the hole in the bracket on the strut they will fit , the later Impreza's had a bracket on the hoses that bolts to the strut ,
But if I am wrong and we have sent you the wrong ones I will change them no problem , Let me know , Cheers Ian

Cheers Ian - not pretending to be technical I'll print this off and show it too my friend who's fitting the brakes
Thanks for the offer to change them too - hopefully we won't need to, I'm just getting excited about fitting the brakes on the car after them being in the living room for 2 months! I'll let you know the results, if they look half as good on the car as they do in the box I'll be a very happy person

Jen,
When I fitted Goodridge hoses to my MY98 I found that one of the rear central locator blocks was too wide to locate in the bracket on the strut whereas the other one fitted fine? I just opened up the bracket a little more to make it fit.
