Not so true...

MY01+ WRX wheels will fit straight onto the "classic" shape Turbo. However, you need to change the tyre to a lower profile - 215x40x17 rather than the 45 profile on the MY01s.

As you say, they can be fitted but some people have reported rubbing when the car was fully loaded (pie-munchers in the back
). More importantly fitting them with the original tyres means that you are increasing the rolling radius - changing (marginally) the handling and the gearing. Fitting 40% profile tyres puts them to the standard.
