Keith

Best pads at the mo seem to be the Mintex 1144 or 1155 (depending on your driving) Ferodo DS2500 (I have these, seem very good to me) and Pagid RS42's.

Mintex cheapest, then Ferodo at 150 quid then Pagid at 200

Cheers
Neil.

EBC Redstuff are quite cheap and are designed for fast road/track use.

I'm very partial to Mintex 1155 - great for road and track with no compromises

The DS2500 seem very good too.....

I've just come from EBC Redstuff and IMHO are the worst pads I've ever used. Don't work from cold, fade after 1 hard stop ( and it was the pads as I have the braied hoses and 5.1 fluid, so it wasn't that) and were on the car since dec 2001, covered about 3-4K and completely wore out You get what you pay for.

I've recently fitted Red Dot pads. Cost £46 from Halfords. I'm pleased with them. Well worth a try at this price I think.

I recently changed from EBC Greenstuff to Mintex 1155 and I really couldn't believe the gulf of a difference between the two. I live in Perthshire so good pads and more importantly, fade resistant pads are a must. I will not buy EBC pads EVER again, they are easily worse than standard pads. The Mintex bite quicker (From cold so don't listen to the stories - I was a bit wary when the box says "not for use on the public highway - Track use only" - is there a difference?) and seem to keep biting harder the more you push them - I just took the advice of Kevin Adam at Falkland - just need to replace the hoses and I will be a very happy man. (maybe easy pleased !!)

EwanS

Ps If in doubt over your requirement - Give Kevin a call and ask his advice - I think he can supply most of the above mentioned here (apart from the EBC - Of course !!)
