Question Handbrake cables

While applying Lanoguard to my 06 Hawk discovered 2 rubber protectors on the crossmember where the trailing arms attach.
one of these is ready to fall off and I assume they stop the hand break cable from rubbing. Looks to be attached by two small and very rusty bolts. Anyone tried sticking the rubber back on ? Never had good success with sticking rubber .

Sounds like you might mean the outrigger dampers. See this thread

Most don’t bother replacing them (mine fell off years ago) but they are available if you want them.

sounds like Star Trek - inertial dampers 😅
Will let nature tale it’s course as I am too old to hear a high tone 🙉
