04 handbrake issue

04 handbrake issue
i have to really pull the handbrake to its maximum height for it to hold my car,is there any way it can be adjusted or is it fooked?

firstly it needs the adjustment at the hub checked and only then you can try and adjust the cable at the lever inside...........

cheers matey i will get my mechanic to take a look,is it big £££ should the cable/shoes need replacing?
