Wrong pins in STI Brembos?
I tried to fit some new discs and pads to the front of my GC8 with STI Brembos, and could not get the pins out for love nor money.
I ordered some new pins, assuming that I was going to have to destroy the old ones to get them out, and when they arrived, I realised that my calipers don't have the normal pins. I've checked Google Images and none of the calipers have the pins that mine have!
Does anyone have an explanation for this? I bought the car with the brakes on it, so I don't know their history. Other than the pins, they look identical to normal calipers.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe someone made up some pins to fit ???
How your new pins should fit with the R clip (cotter pin in picture) in the recessed area.

If they are you maybe able to use the friction fit versions (spring friction clip instead of R clip)
As used with some of their other calipers (red brembos fitted to my old Forester)
