Wheel size issue
Hi, I’ve just bought my second sti and refurbished my old 19 inch rims. I’ve previously been running 35% wall tyres on these rims but can I move up to 40% wall tyres?
Ive calculated this would increase the wheel diameters by 2.2 cm but am I pushing too far?
For the sake of my back can anyone help? I’m interested in hearing from anyone running this set up on a 2014-18 sti before i purchase new tyres.

Not heard of anyone able to run anything other than 35 profiles on 19" rims on the 2015+ STI. This is one reason I went for 18" wheels on mine so I could run 40 profiles.
It will affect your gearing & make your 0-60 time slightly slower if you increase the rolling diameter, but they may just fit. They will be seriously tight and you may get some rubbing though.
It's a big chance to take personally.
