Question Flat spots?

Hi

I've just got my WR1 back on the road after 6 years in my garage with a dehumidifier. It's got a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres in great condition, no cracks, no discolouration. They look like new, apart from a manufacture date of 2008.

The garage mentioned vibration & driving it home, there was a lot of vibration, especially at slow speeds where it feels as though I'm driving along a road with a lot of pipes laid across it. At speed, it turns into a vibration which shakes the steering a little & you can feel through the seat.

Is this flat spots & if so, can I drive it off, or do I need new tyres?

It's generally considered that tyres only have a shelf life of 6 years regardless of use, so I'd be replacing them.

Yep thanks. I was wondering if the symptoms are flat spots, or some other issue?

If the car was left standing on the wheels/tyres for 6 years, then yes, they will be flat spots.
