Default 4 pot brake hoses

Ive just fitted some refurbed front 4 scooby pots from godspeed onto my 2005 forester 2.5 xt SG.The brake hoses on the car are the banjo type where they go onto the caliper, my question is why do all the aftermarket stainless hoses not have the pin the locates the banjo end into the pinhole in the 4 pot caliper. The std brake hoses on the car are locked into place by two castings on the standard 2 pot caliper itself, so it cant rotate and undo itself.whereas the 4 pots have a pin on the hose which goes into a hole and stops it rotating. but the aftermarket hoses dont have this pin on the banjo.I go off road from time to time and dont want to knock the hose round and lose the brakes. Anybody know of aftermarket lines with the pin on the banjo end which fits into the hole in the caliper? Thanks Guys !

Hi

I've got HEL braided brake lines on the R Sport (has aftermarket 4 pots on the front) and they were fitted with no issues.

I had to have the rears made as the car has single pot sliding calipers.

Merlin motorsport maybe able to assist with the technical issue that you have.

I hope this helps.

Andrew.

Thanks Andrew, i didnt go for the braided hoses in the end, i valued the pin arrangement on the hoses to stop the hose coming undone from knocks,my view was subaru fitted it for a reason, so i went for blueprint hoses in the end , they have the locking pin, not cheap but it makes me happier.About 30 pounds odd each.cheers Paul
