Default ROTA GRIDS HELP

Ok so fortunately enough for me iv came into owning a set of pretty mint rota grids (well 3 need to by a 3rd, guys car was a write off) and they are 18x8.5, my current wheels are 18x9.5 which are also knackered due to a small collision with a kerb... Anyway what draw backs if any will I notice with 8.5s compared to 9.5s. also what would you guys recommend for tyre size? just standard 215s or..?

cheers as always guys and gals
