Default Alloy wheel weld opinions

I took the wheels off my bugeye Gx sport today to repaint the calipers and noticed 3 of my alloys have been welded and the other is cracked in 2 places. Are welds safe or do I need a new set of wheels?

If done professionally they should be ok. But if 3 already had been repaired and now 4th need repair something may be up with them (maybe powdercoated in the past?). You can get a good set of WRX wheels for a £100 (thats what I sold mine for with nearly new tyres) so I would replace them if I were you

Best I can find in Northern Ireland is a set of white rotas for £300 so they'll have to do even if they are a bit above budget. Thanks for advice

If done correctly by someone who knows what they are doing then they are fine. Had one of mine welded by a guy who welds all the wheels for my mates rally cars. Strong as new if done right.

The biggest problem is that I don't know who done them and if they're done right but the crack appears to coming through one of the welds again so I doubt if it was a good job

If it's cracking through a weld point it doesn't sound good or well done IMO.
