Default 17 bugeye wheels on a classic sti

So, just a quick fire question. Have been offered some bugeye wrx wheels for my classic sti wagon. What size tyres should be on these best suited to my car so as not to alter the speedo ratio? Searched but for some reason my technical mind couldn't seem to find what I needed. Many thanks for any help

215/40 x 17's

Had them on mine since 2002.

Strangely, I bought new wheels since those tyres were so much cheaper than the 16's it came with...it was as cheap to buy four wheels plus new tyres, as to buy 4 new 16's.

Except they are now bronze, (NOT gold), and the rear brakes are now Brembo too.

It was then, it's now on coilovers, but I was careful to set the ride height as standard.

Scoobs don't like to be lowered more than 25mm or so, it lowers the roll centre so the car rolls MORE...effectively banjaxing the handling
