I have a chance of acquiring some 4 pot calipers & discs (all standard Subaru)

I plan to fit these by hook or crook to my MY96 UK 4 door.

Is this a good idea, or would I be better upgrading my current (knackered) discs & pads to something like Brembo Gp N discs and sensible pads.

Will have braded brake hoses regardless when I change the dampers...

Since I am still young, anything too daft will cost me too much in insurance!!

Sorry about the length. Hope someone can help!

Am I being daft thinking 2 pots will ever work as well as 4 pots?

The 4 pots do at least give a decent future upgrade path...

Anyone????

depends how cheap you are getting them for, i bought all the bits new and upgraded my first scoob, cost me about £600 all in, a waste of money in my opinion, ive since bought a p1 and gone for the alcon upgrade, sold the 4 pots for £250, depends on how hard you are on the brakes, they are far better than the 2 pots, but not a patch on a big brake conversion

Not a bad price Mark

A friend with a MY99 has recently gone for the godspeed (I think) big discs using his standard 4 pot calipers. Says it is a great improvement.

May go this way after my 25th birthday!!

With the 4 pots I will have the option for less cash outlay I hope - and an interim braking improvement.
