how to be able to spin wheels by hand
Hi I have a terrible noise coming from the rear of my bugeye, that is constant with rotation of the wheels. I need to be able to rotate the wheels by hand (when the car is jacked up) to find where the noise is coming from.
I tried this in neutral (with handbrake off ovs!) but the wheels wont spin - probably due to it being a 4x4?
What do you guys do to spin the wheels, please?
thanks

Put it in gear.
Not joking on this one, I just had replaced some bushings on the rear of my car and had to remove the propellor shaft for the last part.
In neutral I also couldn't move the wheel but in gear it was a little tough but is moved quit good.

ye in a perfect world a ramp would be great, but my 2 sets of stands are under my other car whilst i change its clutch.
ok well i tried neutral position and yes the rear wheels were able to spin a bit, not as free as id like but defo pinpointed a bust wheel bearing so thanks all, ill start another thread for that.
