Default Advice on dragging pad/hot wheel/burning smell

Hi. Happy New Year!
My front off side wheel has intermittently become very hot with a burning smell. The caliper (4 pot ) was rebuilt with new pistons and seals when the pads were changed in July.
It takes more than 20 mins driving for this to happen, and is noisy at 50/60 mph.
I had the wheel off, and the pads came out easily, and there was no bearing play in the wheel.
It happened again on my next longer journey, and so I dropped into the (nearby) garage that rebuilt the pistons; like me, they couldn't find any issues, the pistons moved freely, and it drove fine afterwards, but I didn't push it.
Braking is fine, no pulling.
Any suggestions ? Many thanks

Hi
It can still be a caliper issue even after changing the Pistons , as well as the standard Pistons rusting , the top lip inside the caliper bore also rusts , the inside bore of the caliper needs thoroughly cleaning , all rust needs to be removed , if not you have the issue you're now having.
The calipers need to be stripped again and cleaned out properly , if done properly they will be trouble free
Cheers Ian
