I have an MY97 with the "I'm allways fading or on fire" brake set up. Can anyone recommend a good upgrade for about £600. Second hand equipment would be an option.

alan the last time i looked at silk it didnt look like it would stop a fat bird sweating never mind a scoob
i think you are on about dont waste money on a small upgrade save up for the full ap kit or something like, thats what i have done after trying yours
they are awsome and thats an understatement

I'm in a similar situation and have been looking at HiSpec brakes. They are cheaper than the AP and Brembo kits but seem to do a good job and have a good reputation.

Godspeed do an upgrade to 330 disks and 4 pot callipers for 650 quid I think - just passing on what I read
