Here we go again
Well my useless Redstuff pads have almost worn out (only been on since Dec and about 3-4k miles ) and its time to replace them with something much much better. (But not the subaru stuff )
Having read on here I'm going to go with either Ferrodo or Mintex. Just don't know which? Whats the difference between Mintex 1144 and 1155? Also should I get Ferrodo DS2000 DS2500 or DS3000? Which would you chose from the above?
I don't do track days so they will mainly get a bit of punishment in fast road driving. Want something that works reasonably from cold (unlike the redstuff ) but won't fade either after a couple of heavy applications (like the redstuff )
What do you reckon?? All advice appreciated.
Thanks
Neil.

I run 1144's on a 99 and reckon they are fine, they sometimes squeal sometimes dont, depends how they feel on the day I guess. They work well from cold but I do have grooved disks which will generate heat, so probably helps a bit.
However the main reason I purchased these was price £85 instead of £120+ for Ferodo / Pagid.
1155's are a have higher heat range and wont work as well from cold.
Would I buy them again, yes but I haven't tried against Ferodo / Pagid and probably wont at £120+ as I'm a grip.
Hope this helps.
ps Mintex lets off a lot of brake dust!!

Thanks MY99
They don't sound too bad then, I have grooved disks too.
Not sure I like the sound of the brake dust though, MiM's are a pain in the *** to clean at the best of times
Anyone know who the Pagid/Ferrodo compare to the Mintex and which is better for dust?

My Mintex 1155's are ok from cold. I was told by Rodger Clarke Motorsport that the 1144's aren't as high temperature rated as the standard Scooby pads.
1155's are a little bit noisy (not a squeal, more of a light rubbing) but my discs have seen better days. Performance is better that std pads, dust is about as bad tho
