Default staggered wheels

Just enquiring about staggered wheel set ups, do all 4 wheels have to have a similar rolling radius, on 4wd VAG cars they do, just wanting to know with Subaru's, thinking 8's and 9's x 18 with 225/40 and 235/40 set up or similar

Thanks

I had a situation where fitting new tyres to one axle with worn tyres on the other created a vibration in the gearbox DCCD under load (accelleration). This was picked up by Zen Performance after intial concerns that it was a fault in the box, but measuring the circumference of the tyres showed a difference of 6mm. Fitting new tyres solved the issue.
So to answer your question based on my experience, depending on which model Subaru you go for, I would say a significant difference in rolling radius/circumference on front and rear axle could have a damaging effect on the car.

Even slight differences in rolling radius over a prolonged period can scupper your centre diff, just best avoid.

If you think about how it all works, it's going to be an avoid scenario.

It's like having a model loco with all coupled wheels...slow one wheel down, or speed it up, the whole lot is fooked.
