Default Classic tyres 205/40/17 suggestions

Just wondered people opinions on choices of tyres. Will be needing a new set on the classic for mostly normal with some fast road use on 205/40/17.

Using tyresshopper.Co.UK and blackcircles.Co.uk and prices very with some very decent brands for sub £300 fitted and balanced. But wondered what black circle own brand tyres were like for the price.

Cheers in advance

I thought the classics should have 215/40/17 (that's what I used to run on mine) or 205/45/17

Tyreleader cheap but mail order only so you would need to find somewhere to fit - e.g. https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyr...r17-87y-116250

Yes, 215/40 17" is the accepted norm for 17's.

I've had Toyo T1R on mine for YEARS, am on my third set and love 'em, they perform for a classic. Wear rate is higher than SOME........
