Unhappy Brembo front calipers pads don't fit ?????

Need help guys
I am in the process of replacing my front discs and pads on the sti,and I simply cannot get
The new pads into the calipers on either side.
The old pads were well shot on removal, trying to fit the new pads and they just won't slide into the mountings
On the calipers,I have tried a set of mintex, ferodo and pagid and none of them will go in.
The pistons are fully pushed in but the problem is with the brake pad "runners" inside the caliper it seems
all 3 sets of pads are too large to slide in
Is there a fix or solution to the mounting points ???
Thanks mark

Stainless steel slips will need cleaned behind (somehow) you can grind a small piece off the edges of the pad to allow them to slot in.

There is more than likely a build up of crap behind the plates that needs cleaning out.

Did you order all those from eurocarparts? If so, i'm having a dilemma whereby all the eurocarpart pads from mine seem to be different size to standard EBC stuff.

Yep it was as mentioned with the pad guides, the previous pads were
Down to the metal and the guides had raised on the rear edge

Wire brush/hammer and chisel soon sorted it !!
Thanks mark
