Default Rota grid drift 9.5 tire width?

I'm debating purchase of a set of grid drifts in 18x9.5j et38 fitted with continental sport contact 5 255/35/18 tires. How do you think these would fit on a widetrack blobeye? would 255 be too wide? I have coil overs and adjustable camber but I'm concerned I may have to get arch work done.

255 will rub like a b*stard. Unless you molest the arches to within an inch of their lives. I suspect you'll need some 225 or 235

Yep, 225's mate and that's with standard ride height. If lowered on coilies will need arches rolling. Im about to fit a set on my widetrack blob with standard suspension so will send you a pic once fitted if you like. Although it seems that some have not rolled the arches on lowering springs?

Hi there

255 would rub on yours,if you are on stock suspension,if you are on coilovers you can try to run more camber with raising ride height,we are run on our wagon in past 255/40 Toyo R888,but 17" not 18",but yes you can run but you will need to raise ride height at back and run more camber at back/front etc

Due this I would go with 235/40 or 245/40 which we are run and many people over here running without the issue on their Impreza

Hope this helps

Thanks,Jura

What I plan on doing is rolling/.pulling the rear arches, adding some more camber (ordered some bolts) and then seeing if that works. If I still get issues after that I'll try and find someone to swap tires with.

Default Rota grid drift 9.5 tire width?

Just fitted rota drift grids to mine 18 x 9 et38 with 224/40/18s and this is how it looks. Deffo needs lowering imho. Not the best pic but will give you an idea. 255 will be an absolute nightmare id imagine!
