Default Discs have gone dark blue almost black

Hi all

I have only had these drilled / grooved discs and Kevlar pads on the car about a year with only 1400 miles of normal road use but ive just noticed the discs have gone a very dark Blue almost black !!! Front and rear offside looked worse

I know this must be down to excessive heat but has it ruined the discs ?

The reason I noticed was I have had some braided houses fitted and the brake pedal felt like it had too much travel so I was looking for fluid leaks could find any but found discs were blue

any advice would be appreciated
Regards
Ian

If you look closely you will find they will all be cracked around all of the holes in the discs now too.

I never but drilled discs for this reason any more.

Time for new discs for you I think!

Sounds like dodgy calipers mate, if you get those sorted out and then drive with the discs you'll soon be able to tell if they've warped or not.

+1 on sticky calliper, had this on my fiesta, i know its not a scooby but calliper was sticking and in turn it turned the disc blue due to pad heating the disc up.

after a drive touch your alloy wheel to see if it got hot then oyu will know the calliper is sticking.
