Discs have gone dark blue almost black
Hi all
I have only had these drilled / grooved discs and Kevlar pads on the car about a year with only 1400 miles of normal road use but ive just noticed the discs have gone a very dark Blue almost black !!! Front and rear offside looked worse I know this must be down to excessive heat but has it ruined the discs ? The reason I noticed was I have had some braided houses fitted and the brake pedal felt like it had too much travel so I was looking for fluid leaks could find any but found discs were blue any advice would be appreciated Regards Ian |
If you look closely you will find they will all be cracked around all of the holes in the discs now too.
I never but drilled discs for this reason any more. Time for new discs for you I think! |
Sounds like dodgy calipers mate, if you get those sorted out and then drive with the discs you'll soon be able to tell if they've warped or not.
