Default Caliper hanger bolt stuck!

Top 17mm hanger bolt is well and truly stuck - now rounded off too in my vain effort to remove.
Bottom bolt when removed appeared part stripped so looks like it was poorly fitted or overtightened when last removed/refitted but regardless I have a 'mare of a job on my hands trying to get the other one out.
Have tried every trick under the sun but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I am all ears as my plan had been to do discs/pads this weekend but until the hanger is removed I'm stuffed and to be honest the discs pad need changing pretty much now.

As above along with a 16mm socket, you'll have to hammer the socket onto the bolt head but probably the only way to remove now imo.

Use an impact socket as well, stronger!

Had the same thing few weeks ago myself. Absolute nightmare, but as said, I got a blowtorch on it for a bit then hammered a 16mm on there and got a decent breaker bar to crack It.

Had a mini party when it came off! Haha

Remember to have some new bolts on hand once the old ones have been butchered in the removal process.

Ordered up new bolts - £15 for 4 bolts from Subaru!
Ok, not the most expensive thing in the world but still...
Did have a garage job lined up for this but let down so back to me or find someone else so have decided to have another go so have a new set of socket type things for taking off rounded or stuck bolts/nuts so going to try again today, also have the blowtorch to hand but probably would need a decent oxy torch or similar to get real heat on it. If it works you'll hear me!

Got the special tool on the head of the bolt, breaker bar used, head snapped off!
Managed though to wiggle the thing off though but shaft of bolt stuck in the body of the hanger - almost become part of it. Have again tried everything including special metal drill bits to remove it but its not going to come out clean and I think i've stuffed the bolt hole in the hanger with the drill anyway so off to Subaru again for a new hanger......£££££'s I expect!

£107 inclusive from dealer for new hanger - couldn't find a thing online regarding an alternative supplier or 2nd hand part, bit the bullet, ordered Tuesday, picked up Wednesday and fitted. Checked car again tonight and all seems fine so at least this is one nightmare I can move on from!
