JDM got them from 1997/1998 280ps
UK got them from 1999 218bhp
Personally I think the 2 pots are wholly inadequate for standard power.

Bin the 2 pots. They should never have been fitted at all!

It was one of my first upgrades.
2-pot calipers on a 218 bhp car was criminal.

Even better, if it's within budget try to get some Brembos fitted. Bolt on upgrade for the front brakes with suitable discs, rears can be fitted with a few additional parts depending which model you're starting with.

To be fair, its not the fact that they are 2 pot that is the problem, servo etc makes a difference. My old leon cupra (Mk1) had regular girling calipers and they were pretty damn good with a set of pagid frs fitted. My v8 x5 is the same granted the discs are as bit as my steering wheel.

This is true, should have touched on that I guess. I've actually bought a servo/master cylinder from a newage WRX with a view of putting it my classic to go with brembos. I've done this based on information from other detailed posts on line pressures.

True...but you need a minimum of STi 18's at front and WRX 17's at rear.

And NO, not both at once

Lol, that's one for SIOC.

I actually have 17" Rota Torque on my classic, they go over the Brembo brakes nicely.
