Default 2010 sti brake strength

was just wondering how strong the brakes should be on my 2010 sti hatch. i would have thought being 6pot fronts that they would bite quite strong with not to much pressure on the pedal.

i feel that there is quite abit of travel until the brakes start to take effect and are not massively effective.

is this right for these calipers? the fluid is full but havent checked for air in the lines yet. not sure what the pads are but they have yellow plastic backing plate. similar look to ebc yellow stuff (not sure if there are other pads on the market this colour) and they look like they have plenty of life left in them

Standard ones are 4 pot. They don't tend to have loads of initial bite, but you should not have a lot of travel pedal should be firm.
