Default What to do about rear brakes?

The drivers side rear caliper is sticking. Any suggestions on best route to solve it.

I think this is what is referred too as the "2 pot" caliper. It's a '99 UK Turbo 2000.

Prices seem high on these calipers, anyone know a good place to get them for sensible money?

Or any other suggestions on a good route to solve this?

Buy the seal kit,and possibly s/s Pistons and refurb yourself or there are a few traders on here who refurb. Godspeed,as performance, scoobyworx,Aztec to name a few. Or look out in the for sale section for some upgrades.

That's not a 2 pot caliper they have SUBARU on them.

These are 2 pots

As suggested contact anyone in the bunch mentioned and they can sort you out.

HI
Yes a UK 99 classic had 1 pot calipers on the rear , we can supply you new stainless pistons and seals , or reconditioned calipers on an exchange basis , or as you have mentioned the 2 pot conversion is a good upgrade
Cheers Ian

Thanks.

Anyone give an idea on pricing. How much is a refurb caliper? I see several different ones listed, no idea which this is?

What exactly is the 2 pot conversion? I will be needing new discs/pads anyhow and looks like at least one new caliper. What is it going to cost to do a 2 pot conversion instead?

Does the 2 pot conversion affect brake bias and balance?

Happy if someone wants to supply some URL's or PM me some info. I'm looking to buy ASAP as I can't continue driving the car as is.

Thanks.

Thanks. I'll have a look about. Seems Subaru's must carry some kind of additional "tax" on parts prices. As other cars you can buy buy calipers from £50-80 new.

How do I ID which style?

And looking at your site, this is for a pair. I only need one?

Is there much labour involved in refurbing them?

Thanks.

There is a lot of time goes into our calipers as they arnt the off the shelf refurbs which go rusty after a few weeks. Ours are powder coated and carry a 3 year warranty.

You choose the colour and we strip, clean, blast , coat them and build them up with stainless pistons and new seals.

We can do one caliper and it will be half the price.
